Prof. Dr. Ion STAN
Professor of Economics & Global Business Strategy
| PhD in Economic Sciences
“Economics is not just about numbers—it’s about understanding people, systems, and the forces that shape our world. I teach how to think critically about markets, not just how to calculate them.”
I am a university professor, researcher, and consultant in economic sciences, finance, and international business, with over 20 years of academic and professional experience in both corporate and higher education environments.
Currently serving as Professor of Economics and Global Business at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), I specialize in macroeconomics, international trade, and sustainable business strategy. My research focuses on economic development, innovation policy, and the intersection between digital transformation and global markets.
I am passionate about connecting theory with practice. My teaching integrates quantitative analysis, case-based learning, and strategic thinking, preparing students for leadership roles in an increasingly interconnected economy.
