1. Instructor Recruitment & Vetting

Selective Acceptance: We carefully recruit and vet independent instructors from around the world who demonstrate:

  • Relevant advanced academic credentials (typically Master’s or PhD level, or equivalent professional certifications)
  • Substantial professional experience in their teaching area (typically 5+ years)
  • Proven teaching, training, or mentoring experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to teach effectively online
  • Commitment to student success and ethical professional practices
  • Multilingual capabilities (in many cases)

Comprehensive Verification Process:

Stage 1 – Application Review: Initial screening of credentials and background

Stage 2 – Document Verification: Validation of all claimed credentials through official sources

Stage 3 – Reference Checks: Contact with professional and academic references

Stage 4 – Interview & Assessment: Video interview evaluating expertise, communication skills, and teaching approach

Stage 5 – Teaching Demonstration: Evaluation of actual teaching ability (when applicable)

Stage 6 – Background Review: Professional background verification

Stage 7 – Approval & Onboarding: Profile creation and platform training for accepted instructors

We reject more applications than we accept, maintaining high standards for inclusion.

2. Profile Creation & Maintenance

Each approved instructor creates a comprehensive profile that includes:

  • Complete educational background with institution details
  • Professional experience and achievements
  • Teaching areas and specializations
  • Teaching approach and methodology
  • Language capabilities
  • Time zone and availability information
  • Rates and payment options
  • Professional photos and credentials documentation
  • Links to professional profiles (LinkedIn, ResearchGate, etc.)
  • Verified student testimonials (when available)

Ongoing Requirements:

  • Annual profile updates and credential re-verification
  • Maintenance of professional standards
  • Response to student inquiries in timely manner
  • Adherence to ethical professional conduct

Instructors who don’t maintain our standards are removed from the platform.

3. Student-Instructor Connection

Browse & Research: Students explore detailed instructor profiles, filtering by subject area, language, time zone, rate, and other preferences.

Direct Contact: Students contact instructors directly to discuss learning goals, teaching approach, scheduling, and logistics.

Consultation: Most instructors offer a complimentary initial consultation (15-30 minutes) to assess fit and answer questions.

Agreement: Student and instructor agree on curriculum, schedule, rates, payment method, and policies directly.

Learning Begins: Sessions are conducted via professional video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, etc.).

We Facilitate: The introduction and provide the platform for connection.

We Do Not Control: The actual teaching, curriculum, scheduling, or payment processing happens directly between student and instructor.

4. Quality Monitoring

While we respect instructor autonomy, we maintain quality standards:

  • Collection of student feedback and satisfaction ratings
  • Annual credential re-verification for all instructors
  • Response to complaints or concerns about instructors
  • Removal of instructors who violate professional standards or receive consistent negative feedback
  • Continuous improvement of our verification processes
  • Regular review of platform policies and procedures

Our Business Model

Transparency About How We Operate:

We generate revenue through one of the following models (depending on the instructor’s preference):

Option 1 – Listing Fee Model: Instructors pay a modest annual or monthly fee to maintain their profile on our platform. This fee covers verification costs, platform maintenance, and marketing. Instructors keep 100% of their earnings from students.

Option 2 – Commission Model: Some instructors prefer to pay no upfront listing fee and instead share a small percentage of their earnings (typically 10-15%) with the platform for successful student connections.

What We Don’t Do:

  • We don’t mark up instructor rates invisibly
  • We don’t charge students platform fees beyond what instructors charge
  • We don’t take large commissions that significantly impact instructor earnings
  • We don’t require exclusive arrangements preventing instructors from teaching elsewhere

Student Benefit: You pay instructors directly. Prices you see on profiles are what you pay, with no hidden platform fees added.
